- You are passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in adults, children and young people
- Personal attributes such as patience, respect and enthusiasm which will take you far as a Swim Teacher
- You have always enjoyed Swimming and understand the importance of teaching safety skills to the community
- Demonstrate a passion and enthusiasm to teach children to swim
- Demonstrate excellent customer service to parents and students alike
- Are motivated and committed to perform to a high standard
- Are friendly, polite, and approachable at all times
- Are honest, reliable and enthusiastic
- Can work weekends

This will be a supported developmental opportunity for people who require guidance and people looking to walk straight into a position here at YMCA Aquatic & Events Services Limited after the training.

About the role
Following the successful completion of the above qualifications and checks you will be offered a Swimming Teacher role at YMCA Aquatic & Events Services Limited where you will be:
- Delivering lesson plans that promote swimming skill building in school aged children, combining stroke development with water safety and enhancing the overall confidence and ability of your students.
- Teaching lessons with appropriate activities that challenge and develop your students swimming and water safety ability.
- Teaching and model effective problem-solving skills and conflict resolution skills.
