The Steam Room or Sauna is available to Gym & Swim Members and Multi-Visit Swim Pass Holders.

From Tuesday 23 November 2021:

  • The capacity for the Steam Room or Sauna is set at two people per room.
  • Use of the Steam Room and Sauna is session based and requires bookings. We recommend making this online to avoid disappointment.
  • Sessions are 30-minutes in duration. Please ensure you take a break after 20-minutes.
  • Steam Room and Sauna wristbands are required.

Please only book 1 session per visit.

Usage of the Steam Room or Sauna is restricted to persons aged 16 and over. Full conditions of use for the Steam Room and Sauna are available below and displayed upon entering the Steam Room and Sauna.

    Patrons are required to COVID-SAfe Check-in to the Centre by using the free mySA Gov App for South Australian Government contact tracing purposes under the Public Activities Direction.

    If you do not have a compatible smartphone, a paper record will be available for you to provide your details. Patrons are required to have the confirmation green tick ready to show staff after they have scanned the Centre's QR Code. If you choose not to provide your details, you may be refused entry.'

    STEAM ROOM & SAUNA BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    • To Monday 22 November 2021:
      • Online pre-bookings are required and are only available between the times of 4pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday.
      • Wristbands must be worn during peak times (Monday to Friday 4-8pm) in the Steam Room and Sauna. Wristbands that do not match the session will not be permitted use to the Steam Room or Sauna peak hour session. Please collect from the front desk prior to your session.
    • From Tuesday 23 November 2021:

    • Your booking provides you access to either the Steam Room or Sauna
    • You can book in for the following under the following categories:

    a. Active Member: For those that hold a valid active Gym & Swim membership at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre. Included in active membership and will not display a cost on booking. Members must swipe their card or wristband at the gates for access.

    b. Swim Pass Holder: for individuals that have visits remaining on their active Multi-Visit swim pass to the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre. Multi-Visit Swim Pass bookings with visits on their pass will have one visit, per booking deducted from their existing pass 

    • Refunds are not available. Your booking time can be changed via the confirmation email's "manage booking" option.
    • We recommend booking no earlier than 48 hours prior to the session commencing. Bookings can be made anytime for the next available time frame.
    • “Multi Visit Swim Pass Holders” will be deducted for “no-shows”
    • Steam Room or Sauna bookings are 30-minutes in duration, however please ensure you take a break at 20 minutes in the Steam Room or Sauna

    STEAM ROOM & SAUNA CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    HEALTH, HYGIENE & ROOM DENSITY

    • Stay home if you have symptoms of COVID-19 and seek testing
    • To 22 November 2021:
      • The Steam Room or Sauna has a maximum capacity of FOUR people per room. Please do not enter if there is four or more people in the room.
    • To 23 November 2021:
      • The Steam Room or Sauna has a maximum capacity of TWO people per room. Please do not enter if there is two or more people in the room.
    • Cover coughs and sneezes with your elbow (not your hands)
    • Wash/sanitise your hands regularly
    • Please observe 1.5m physical distancing at all times
    • Shower before entering the pool after using the sauna/steam room
    • The use of a towel is required at all times

    SAFETY

    • For your safety, please follow the instructions from Centre Staff at all times
    • All persons use the sauna/steam room at their own risk
    • Please ensure you take a break after 20 minutes in the Steam Room or Sauna
    • Drink enough water to stay hydrated
    • Usage of the sauna/steam room is restricted to persons age 16 & over
    • The following individuals should not use the sauna/steam room:
    1. pregnant women
    2. persons with heart conditions or ailments
    3. persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication
    4. persons with any condition that could predispose them to further aggravation of their pre-existing condition or injury

    PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND ITEMS

    • Use of any oils or creams is prohibited
    • Shaving of any hair is not permitted
    • Any form of exercise is prohibited in the sauna/steam room
    • The use of cameras, video recorders & smart phones is prohibited
    • Please be considerate of other patrons using the sauna/steam room.
