We're riding the wave of excitement from the Stingers and Sharks' success at the Olympic Games, and we're thrilled to announce that participant registrations for National Water Polo Day are now open!

Date: Saturday, 14 September

Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Location: SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre

Ages: 6 and up

As the proud representative of South Australia for this national event, we invite you to grab your spot for our FREE Water Polo Clinic!

What to Expect:

  • Learn & Explore the Sport: Learn what Water Polo is all about and understand the pathway from swimming lessons to water polo.
  • Talk to Experts: Chat with experienced water polo players and coaches about your options for taking up the sport.
  • Meet Philbert: Our friendly mascot will be there to cheer you on!

The program will be held in the learner's pool, which has a depth of 1 and provides a safe environment for children to try out Water Polo. We also plan to showcase the sport in the deep pool, where kids can experience playing in our 3m water polo pool (lifejackets available).

  • Dive, Starts and Turns Clinic Terms and Conditions

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS -NATIONAL WATER POLO DAY 2024 CLINIC

    1. ‘Event’ refers to National Water Polo Day Clinic’ which is a Water Polo Clinic organised by YMCA Victoria and the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre in conjunction with Water Polo Australia to be conducted on Saturday, 14 September, 2024 at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre. ‘You’ and ‘Your’ means the Parent/guardian named in the Event registration.
    2. By completing Your registration You accept the terms and conditions of the Event, You agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. You warrant that any other participant on whose behalf You are submitting this registration also agrees to comply with these terms and conditions with any reference to ‘You’ or ‘Your’ throughout the document being a reference to them.
    3. Entrants under the age of 18 must be registered by parent or guardian over the age of 18 to participate. You acknowledge and agree that, if You are registering on behalf of a child or children, You are their parent or guardian, or otherwise have authority from the child or children’s parent or guardian to do so on their behalf and agree to supervise the child or children at all times during the Event. You warrant that they also agree to comply with these terms and conditions as if a reference to ‘You’ or ‘Your’ was a reference to them. Acceptance of these terms and conditions is required in order to participate in this Event.
    4. Please read and follow the Handover Policy
      • Children MUST be received and acknowledged by the teacher directly from the parent before entering the water.
      • Collect your child from the same location as clinic commenced.
      • No children will be permitted to leave the clinic and teacher until the parent/guardian has collected them.
    5. Standard Image Release forms may be required to be completed prior to starting the clinic.
    6. By registering for this event You consent to any video footage, or photographs taken during the Event of You, or Your child/children, being used to publicise the Event by YMCA Victoria and the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre for commercial and fundraising purposes including, but not limited to marketing material, television broadcasts, social media, advertising, publications, and other documents or mediums that may be made available to the public, over an extended period of time. You consent that images and video of You or Your child/children, will be used with or without Your name for these lawful purposes concerning the Event. By registering You are confirming that You give consent for Your images to be used by YMCA Victoria in this way without payment or compensation. You have the right to access and alter any video footage, or photographs taken during the Event of You, or the persons You registered of who You are the guardian.
    7. Any registrations after this registration close date will only be accepted at the discretion of the Aquatic Programming Manager.
    8. If it is deemed by the coach that the swimmer is not capable, then they will be removed from the clinic and refund may be offered.
